Symposium Proposals

The California Law Review is now accepting submissions of symposium proposals for the 2017-2018 academic year. Submissions will be accepted until February 26, 2017.

We accept proposal submissions via email to Symposium Editor Nate Brown.

Proposal Submission Requirements

In addition to a written proposal, please also submit an addendum that clearly addresses the following elements:

  1. A tentative list of symposium speakers.
  2. An anticipated budget and source of funding. Financial and logistical arrangements will not be the responsibility of the California Law Review.
  3. The names and contact information of two point people with whom the California Law Review can communicate regarding logistics, travel, and organization.
  4. A mechanism for ensuring author accountability for quality of publication and deadlines.
  5. An acknowledgment that publication is not guaranteed to any speaker and that the California Law Review has full discretion in selecting the pieces, if any, to publish.
  6. A tentative timeline and date for the symposium (symposium must take place in the 2016-2017 academic year).
  7. A description of how this symposium is timely and fosters diversity of legal scholarship.
If you have any questions, please contact Symposium Editor Nate Brown.
